 Welcome.
“People tell me I am funny. They say they feel good because I make them laugh. If I can squeeze a smile, chuckle or better yet downright roaring laughter because of the joy, beauty, wit or humor I transmit through my art, then I believe I am doing my job well. And if someone falls in love with my animal paintings and goes running to the nearest shelter to adopt a cat or dog, or both, then I think I deserve a gold star.”

Welcome to Lori Faye Bock's online store!
Chances are, if you've ever seen one of these designs at your local animal shelter, humane society, rescue group or veterinary office promoting the humane and kind treatment of animals, you already know what Lori Faye Bock's passion in life is ....
An animal lover with five cats, six dogs and a flock of 31 sheep, Lori Faye has been painting animals since 1997. She continues to paint animals 11 years later but, has added windowscapes, landscapes and most recently, her series on women's perspectives which incorporates witty and insightful quotes and illustrations to her repertoire.
Along with her husband and bevy of animals, Lori Faye Bock lives in the magical and majestic valley of Los Silvestres, an agricultural community just a few miles north of the village of Abiquiú. There, on her farm which borders the Chama River and is surrounded by mountains, she creates her work while in her own little world .... which she truly believes is a tremendous blessing.
She sells her original acrylic paintings on baltic birch punnets and paper in Scottsdale and Tucson at Wilde Meyer Gallery and in Santa Fe on Canyon Road at Waxlander Gallery.
Here on her online store, she sells reproductions of her paintings as hand-embellished limited edition prints, posters, greeting cards, tee-shirts and magnets which are produced in New Mexico, USA. Lori Faye is particular about staying local and buying local. She also uses kenaf, a tree-free fiber and/or recycled paper in her greeting cards.
In addition to her online store, she sells her 'inventory' at her seasonal studio and gift shop at the Dome at Los Silvestres, located 3.4 miles north of the Abiquiú Post Office along Highway 84. She is open for business from mid-June through mid-October, Thursday through Monday, 10 AM to 5 PM.
Her studio is a 6th century AD Byzantine architectural wonder which incorporates pendentives to convert a square adobe structure into a circular dome. If you plan on being in the area, please stop by and say 'hello' as Lori Faye really enjoys meeting the people who appreciate what she creates.

So, in addition to being an artist, wife, animal guardian and caregiver, Lori Faye Bock is an entrepreneur and small business woman. Sometimes, it is a bit challenging and she has to do a bit of juggling in order to accomplish everything she needs to do in a day. But, she wouldn't trade her experiences or lifestyle for anything in the whole universe. She just remembers to breathe deeply!
This past spring has been remarkably busy and wonderfully exciting. As a ceramicist for 26 years, Lori Faye has begun to work in clay again. On a small scale she creates 'Quotebowls' and 'Platitudes,' each incorporating women's quotes (and those of a few good men) along with colorful and whimsical designs. She will be making these available later in the year on her online store so please check back from time to time.
In May, Southwest Art Magazine included Lori Faye Bock in an article entitled, " Seriously Funny" where one of her women's perspective paintings was featured in a lovely article written by Gretchen Reynolds.
Lastly, but certainly not least, she has just gone to press with 10 new greeting cards, including her new women's perspective images which are available here on her online store.
Well .... it is time for her to get back to her studio as she is working on a painting of sheep behind the wheel of a pick-up truck!
Thank you for visiting Lori Faye Bock Shop. She appreciates your support of what she loves doing!
With the warmest of regards,
Lori Faye Bock
P.S. The 15th annual Abiquiu Studio Tour takes place this Columbus Day Weekend, October 11th & 12th, 2008.
