Hello! & Welcome to My Online Shop!
It's summer here in northern New Mexico. Warm days and cool
nights! Perfect for those down comforters! Even the cats are back
on the bed snuggling! Usually by this time, all the cats are
sleeping independent of one another because of the warmer
evening temperatures ... but not this year!
It looks as though Von Bock Farm will be well supplied with
apples this fall. Every tree is loaded with wonderful specimens
of apples including, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Winesap,
and Esopus Spitzenburg. I will be very busy making apple
tartans and apple normandies - along with applesauce which
I make in a crock pot. In addition to the cored unpeeled apples,
I add pieces of fresh ginger and quartered lemons (minus
the seeds). After about 12 hours - I put it all in my Cuisinart and
puree. The taste is awesome. For those of you who have apple
trees or enjoy applesauce - this is a recipe you should try!

Speaking of apples ... if you are going to be in the Abiquiu
area this fall - stop by The Dome at Los Silvestres located on
Highway 84 about three and a half miles northwest of the
general store where you can taste and purchase some of
Von Bock Farm's apples which will have been picked from
trees over a hundred years old!

The Dome is open weekends 10 to 5 and by appointment -

Also, the 16th Annual Abiquiu Studio Tour featuring the
work of some 65 local artists will once again take place
during Columbus Day Weekend. This year the tour will be
three days - October 11, 12, & 13 2009 - Saturday, Sunday
and Monday - 10 to 5. For more information, please go to

paintings, clay, limited editions, greeting cards, magnets

An animal lover with seven cats, five dogs and a flock of some
25 sheep, I have been painting animals for galleries as well as
for local & national animal organizations since 1997. Twelve
years later I continue to paint animals as well as landscapes,
windowscapes and my women’s perspectives series. Should

My cards, prints and magnets are created in New Mexico because
I believe in keeping it local! All of the art greeting cards and
magnets are produced in an environmentally sensible manner
on recycled and/or kenaf tree free fiber with New Mexico's
very first certified printer with the Forest Stewardship Council.
